Who we are
Quickdraw (https://quickdrawtimer.netlify.app) is a small, free drawing practice tool run by Stephen Nickalls. It shows reference images from Pinterest boards on a timer so you can practise drawing.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider. We never see them.
- Boards you use: the name and link of each board you load, how many images it had, and your timer settings for it.
- Practice sessions: when you practised, for how long, and how many images you drew.
- If you connect Pinterest: your Pinterest username and the access keys Pinterest gives us. These keys let Quickdraw read your boards and pins. They cannot post, change or delete anything on your Pinterest account.
What we do not collect
- We do not copy or store your Pinterest images. They are shown straight from Pinterest while you practise.
- We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools.
- We do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.
How we use it
Only to run Quickdraw: logging you in, showing your saved boards, loading their images, remembering your settings, and showing your practice history. Your boards and sessions are private to your account. Other users cannot see them.
When you connect Pinterest, you approve read-only access on Pinterest's own website. We use it only to list your boards and load their images. You can disconnect at any time with the Disconnect button in Quickdraw, which deletes the access keys we hold. You can also remove Quickdraw's access from your Pinterest account settings. Your use of Pinterest is also covered by Pinterest's own privacy policy.
Services we use
- Supabase: stores your account and Quickdraw data.
- Netlify: hosts the website.
- Pinterest: provides the boards and images, if you connect your account.
These services may store data outside New Zealand.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while you have an account. You can remove any saved board yourself at any time. To delete your whole account and everything linked to it, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email us and we will respond as soon as we can.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
